Child Advocates of CT (CAC) is currently recruiting volunteers for a unique and meaningful position in the local community. Make a difference in the life of an abused or neglected child by becoming a volunteer Guardian Ad Litem or Court Monitor. CAC volunteers work with the Department of Children and Families, attorneys and various service providers to ensure a child's needs are met during this critical time of uncertainty and that progress towards stability and permanency is pursued as quickly as possible. The next training sessions will be April 26, 27, 30, May 1 and 2 from 9:30am-2:00pm in Norwalk. YoungLives, a program of Young Life, provides mentoring and support for teenage girls who are pregnant or parenting. Through caring relationships with mentors, group activities, and camp, teen moms find a safe haven to have fun as well as to consider issues of faith and values.
