The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk needs volunteers at least 15 years old to work as gallery guides and for office and special-event assistance. Knowledge about marine animals is not necessary; there will be a six-week training course, which will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 7 to 9 p.m. March 3 through April 14. Shifts are four hours long.

A $40 fee covers the costs of training materials and uniforms. After six months of service, volunteers receive a free individual membership, entitling them to certain discounts.
