Town Players' Songbook outstanding

To the Editor:

"American Songbook: The Music of World War II," at the Powerhouse by the Town Players is fun and moving and marvelous history. Karen and I enjoyed it immensely.

The songs tell the homefront story of how America, with the 17th largest army in the world, took on both Hitler and the Japanese Empire. We were part of a packed house, and virtually all were standing with tears in their eyes at the finale.

"American Songbook" runs through Aug. 13 at the Powerhouse.
