About $750 worth of wood was stolen from a Southwood Drive home, according to New Canaan Police.

The homeowner called police at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 12 to report that the wood was taken from his lawn sometime between the evening of Sept. 11 and the afternoon of Sept. 12, police said.

The complainant said there were about 20 rounds of wood, each measuring about 1.5 feet of length and between 2 and 3 feet of circumference, according to the report.

Police said they found tire marks on the victim's lawn.

The incident is under investigation.
