Woman charged with larceny from Togs shoplifting

Victoria G. Mallozzi, 23, of Norwalk was issued a misdemeanor summons for fifth-degree larceny after allegedly shoplifting from Togs Jan. 15 at 5:19 p.m.
A 43-year-old female employee from New Canaan suspected Mallozzi after she took several items into the dressing room. The employee told police that she went into the dressing room with an open purse and left the room with a closed purse.
The complainant also said she found three empty hangers and a pile of clothes in the dressing room. Police said the complainant followed Mallozzi outside, saw her get into a black Audi and got the license plate number. Police then went to her residence in Norwalk and found the items. The clothing stolen included a $350 blue dress, a $236 blue and multi-colored dress and a $250 black lace shirt.
Mallozzi was issued a misdemeanor summons for fifth-degree larceny. She was released on a promise to appear in court Jan. 25.
