Waveny Care Network launches annual fund drive
"This year's campaign focuses on enhancing the dining experience throughout the entire continuum of care, including the Care Center, The Village and the Adult Day Program," Dionne said. "We are excited to transition to `point of service' or `restaurant style' throughout the network."
The first phase of the transition will involve the refurbishment and renovation of the care center's main dining room to include serving carts, grills, steam carts, furniture, plants, new carpeting, wallpaper, and paint to transform the room into a spacious, warm and inviting environment perfect for enjoying a relaxing meal. These changes will help to provide individualized service in cuisine presentation and delivery, while facilitating additional options to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences. The overall plan will be implemented in stages and will begin before the new year.
"Throughout my involvement with Waveny Care Network, I have been inspired by it's loyal family of staff, volunteers and donors who contribute selflessly to upholding Waveny's mission, vision and values," Dionne said. "I am honored to chair this year's annual appeal campaign designed to raise $350,000 seeking to provide all whom we serve with the highest quality of service, selection, convenience and dining flexibility."
Waveny Care Network provides a comprehensive continuum of healthcare to serve the growing needs of older adults from all areas. Waveny is a nonprofit organization that offers independent living at New Canaan Inn, assisted living for people with Alzheimer's and memory loss at The Village, and skilled nursing at Waveny Care Center. It also includes the Brown Geriatric Evaluation Clinic, a Geriatric Care Management team that provides 24-hour coverage, a newly expanded Adult Day Program, inpatient and outpatient Rehabilitation Services, and respite programs and hospice care at The Village and Care Center.
