Walter Stewart’s Market will be hosting an Autumn Fest from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, as part of a two-week long celebration of its 108th anniversary.

The event will include face-painting, balloon animals, and fall fare such as bratwurst, apple cider doughnuts, apple cider, and an artisanal cheese tasting and beer and wine samples. Admission is free.

The grocery has lined up a T-Bill Donation Days fundraiser to support local non-profit groups to celebrate the milestone, allowing customers to use their Stewart’s T-Bill Rewards cards to donate their T-Bill balances to a list of participating non-profit groups on display at checkout counters.

The donation period will run from Thursday, Oct. 15, through Oct. 21.

Stewart’s, the town’s oldest retail establishment, is also teaming up with the Young Women’s League of New Canaan for its annual Thanksgiving Donation Days T-Bill Drive, Thursday, Oct. 22, through Wednesday, Oct. 28, to provide local families in need with Thanksgiving meals, which will be distributed by Person-to-Person in Darien.
