'Two Little Snowflakes' to be cast

Magical Music for Life, of New Canaan, will conduct auditions for its production of "Two Little Snowflakes."
"Two Little Snowflakes" is a mini musical about friendship and was inspired by the events of 9/11. The story follows the life of two little snowflakes on their journey from their clouds to Earth, melt into water droplets and fuse with a seed, eventually becoming a beautiful oak.
The open-call auditions, which will take place Tuesday, Sept. 16, at The Studio, 26 Forest St., are geared toward children entering grades 2 to 5.
Rehearsals will start in September on Sunday afternoons and the performance will take place at New Canaan's Holiday Stroll will take place Dec. 5.
Also, on Sept. 16, auditions will take place for Magical Music for Life's three singing groups: Mini Singers, which is for girls and boys in grades 2 to 5; Junior Singers, girls in grades 6 to 8; and Magical Music Singers, girls and boys in grades 9 to 12.
Each of the groups has a limited number of members and the Magical Music Singers is arranged for four-part harmony. Singers will be rehearsing on Sunday afternoons starting in September and through early May, performing in community/charity events in the tri-state area and Magical Music's "Tunes in Times Square" show in New York City, and possibly singing in recording projects.
Magical Music for Life is a participant in the President's Volunteer Service Award and time spent with the singing groups qualifies toward the award.
