Trumbull man allegedly found with drug paraphernalia

NEW CANAAN — A 22-year-old Trumbull man was charged with intent to sell after police found a plethora of drug-related paraphernalia in the car he was riding in.
On Jan. 25 around 12:45 a.m., police said they pulled over a car going 10 miles over the speed limit on Smith Ridge Road. Police said they searched the car and found marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a digital scale, multiple Ziploc bags and cash in multiple denominations. The marijuana found weighed over a half ounce.
Police said Brandon Ryan of Craig Lane claimed ownership of the items. The Trumbull man was charged with possession with the intent to sell and use of drug paraphernalia. He posted a $500 bond and was given a court date of Feb. 6.
The driver of the car, a 20-year-old Trumbull man, was issued infractions for possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana and driving unreasonably fast.
