Town Players presents "Little Red Riding Hood, A Panto"

The Town Players of New Canaan presents "Little Red Riding Hood, A Panto."
The play is directed by Patrick Kiley and the music director is Ken Knox's. This is their sixth family holiday show collaboration. Family friendly entertainment, a panto is a blend of fairy tale, farce, melodrama, musical theatre, slapstick, vaudeville, Benny Hill, Monty Python and Looney Tunes, filled with singing, dancing, slapstick, audience participation and topical jokes, which young children will enjoy at face value, while teenagers and adults will pick up the double entendre and clever innuendo.
Performances will take place on Friday, Dec. 9 and 16 at 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 10, 11, 17 and 18 at 2:30 p.m. at the Powerhouse Theatre in Waveny Park, 677 South Ave., New Canaan. Tickets are $10 for all performances, except Saturday, Dec. 10 when the price of admission for children is one, unwrapped, new toy for Toys for Tots.
