Toddlertime Summer Camp is offering a summer program rich in exploration, imagination, creativity and hands-on, messy, old fashioned play. Each week features a unique theme, including Catapults & Flying Marshmallows, Out of the Box Camp, Kaleidoscope Adventure, Creation Station, Naked Eggs & Exploding Milk and Spanish. Each session is augmented by daily and weekly specials such as music, face painting, DJ parties and traveling shows.

New this summer is a variety of once a week camps including Zoom into Kindergarten, Ice Cream Larry, Diary of a Worm and a Two Together (with caregiver) Music & Play class. Another new addition this summer is a flexible program for 4's and 5's which offers an alternative to many camps which are all day every day for this age group.

All of Toddlertime's summer programs are designed to allow a child's natural curiosity and creativity to flourish in a supportive and safe environment. The summer camp themes are open-ended which allows the campers to enjoy play without an end goal in mind.

"All the experts agree that unstructured and imaginative play as a child is closely connected to success later in life and we couldn't agree more," Carolyn Williams, Director of Toddlertime, said. "The opportunities found in unstructured play with peers develop healthy social skills such as negotiation, patience, leadership and collaboration."

Summer Camp is directed by Nancy Ferullo, lead four's teacher at Toddlertime for the past four years. Prior to coming to Toddlertime, she was a lead teacher in Greenwich for 17 years. Ferullohas 12 years of experience as a camp director; seven at the First Church Preschool Camp and five at the City of Stamford Preschool Camp. "Part of what sets us apart is our dynamic, creative and highly qualified staff who are nursery school teachers or education majors during the year and our low camper to staff ratio," Ferullo said. Additionally, all Toddlertime teachers are certified in First Aid and CPR.

Located at 23 Park Street on the ground floor of the Congregational Church, Toddlertime offers summer camp and preschool programs for children ages 21 months until they enter kindergarten. Children do not need to be potty trained. Camp runs in one, two and five week sessions between June 18 and Aug. 3. Dates and times vary depending on age.
