The Glass House celebrates 10 years of historic preservation with summer party
NEW CANAAN — To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Glass House’s designation as a National Trust for Historic Preservation site, visitors from near and far gathered at the house’s annual summer party on Saturday.
The party featured a picnic by South End, Champagne, lawn games and music.
The event hosted the premiere of “The Metamorphoses,” a dance piece inspired by Ovid’s poem choreographed by Jonah Bokaer. Joshua Katcher, of Brave GentleMan, designed the costumes for the eight dancers, while Stavros Gasparatos handled the sound design.
Attendees enjoyed two exhibitions on view: Julian Schnabel’s “Paintings that I hope Philip and David would like” and Robert Indiana’s “One Through Zero” sculpture installation.
