Casey J. Dinkins, 21, of Stamford, was charged with an intent to sell marijuana Feb. 25 at 9:50 p.m.

Police pulled over Dinkins after he was seen driving south on Ponus Ridge Road with a defective headlight. Upon stopping Dinkins, police dog Zira was deployed and indicated an odor of drugs coming from the vehicle. Dinkins took out a plastic bag from his shirt pocket, which contained several smaller bags of marijuana with similar amounts in each. A passenger in the car, Brianna Paul, 19, also had a small amount of marijuana and a grinder, according to the report.

She was given an infraction for possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Dinkins was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell. He posted a $1,500 bond and will appear in court March 8.
