Stabbing false alarm

Gary Sirico, 60, of Brushy Ridge Road was arrested in relation to an incident with his father Aug. 20 at 8:49 p.m.
Police initially received a call from Sirico stating he was stabbed by his father and needed assistance with his injuries. Upon arriving at the scene, it was discovered that a verbal argument took place outside the residence between Sirico and his father, according to the report. After the argument, the father asked Sirico to not come back to the house. Police said Sirico then attempted to force his way in by breaking a window and severely cutting his arm.

Following the guidelines of the Connecticut Department of Probation, police held Sirico without bond. He was charged with first-degree burglary, criminal mischief, disorderly conduct and second-degree falsely reporting an incident.
Police said Sirico's court date was expected to be Aug. 22 but he was transported to the hospital Aug. 21 for medical reasons and did not make the appearance. The extent of his injuries and rescheduled court date are unknown at this time.
