A World Affairs Forum Great Decisions event featuring Seth Anziska, a professor at Columbia University, will take place Monday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m. in the New Canaan Library Lamb Room. Anziska will discuss Israel and the U.S.

Anziska, a member of Columbia's history department, has interests in the Middle East, U.S. foreign relations and modern Jewish history. His dissertation explored the relationship between Israel, the Palestinians and the United States, from the Camp David Accords through the war in Lebanon and the first Intifada.

Anziska received a bachelor's degree in history, cum laude, from Columbia and a master's in philosophy in modern Middle Eastern studies from St. Antony's College, Oxford. He has been the recipient of the Boren and Wexner fellowships and was a research exchange student in the Department of International History at the London School of Economics.

The event is free. Refreshments prior to the presentation are courtesy of the library, a co-sponsor of the program. The Great Decisions programs at the New Canaan Library are supported by HSBC Bank USA. For information, contact 203-356-0340 or info@worldaffairsforum.org.
