Michael Carson, 44, of 92 East Street, South Salem, N.Y., was arrested on May 28 on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.

An officer on New Norwalk Road observed a vehicle cross over the center line and drift into the other lane at around 1:07 a.m., according to the report. The officer then pulled out and followed the vehicle for about a half mile, during which time the vehicle crossed over the double yellow line several more times, according to police.

The officer pulled the car over, smelled the odor of alcohol coming from Carson, and adminitered a field sobriety test, which Carson failed, said police.
