Snow goin' as storm slows New Canaan's commute

A week of punishingly cold temperatures was gilded Friday with the first significant snowfall of the season as several inches fell across New Canaan and the rest of southwestern Connecticut just as the morning commute was getting underway.
By afternoon, however, the snow-filled skies had cleared and bright sunshine prevailed. But cold temperatures continued to grip the region.
