September is National Library Card Month

What is one of the most powerful wireless devices around? A library card, of course. With a library card, the opportunities to access knowledge and adventure are endless.
September is National Library Card Month, and New Canaan Library is eager to spread the word. Any New Canaan resident can sign up for a free library card, opening the door to reading, research, instruction, programs and workshops.
Obtaining a library card is easy and can be done at the library, or online at newcanaanlibrary.org/services. Proof of residency and a valid ID are required, and there is no fee. Expired cards can be updated with current information. During the month of September, look for the library's satellite sign-up spots around town: Starbucks, Saturday's farmers market, elementary and Saxe parents' nights and the YMCA.
New Canaan Library's goal is to facilitate lifelong learning and provide access to all formats of information. Sign up for a library card and start downloading ebooks, try out the new 3D printers, take a computer class or just catch up on some reading.
