Senior citizen stopped for registration; arrested on warrants

Benjamin Milone, 71, of Park Street was stopped for having an expired registration June 14 at 11:57 a.m.
An officer was following Milone on South Avenue because he was driving below the posted speed limit of 25 mph. The officer stopped Milone after running his plates and noticing his registration had expired.
Milone was given an infraction for operating an unregistered motor vehicle. Police also noticed he had a warrant out for his arrest by the Norwalk Police Department, who picked him up from New Canaan.
Milone was originally charged with second-degree harassment March 17 and a violation of a protective order June 17 by Norwalk police.
