More than $2 million in contracts was approved by the Board of Selectmen Tuesday, June 24.

The biggest number on the list is for a computer lease agreement with J.P. Morgan Chase Bank for New Canaan Public Schools. The $736,000 contract includes the leasing of computer equipment and associated hardware.

A long-awaited police dispatch console was also approved. The board OK'd a request from the New Canaan Police Department to enter into a contract with Motorola Solutions for $373,776 for a new MCC 7500 Dispatch Console system.

Other contracts approved are:

$425,800 with Hinding Tennis Courts for seven post-tensioned concrete tennis courts at New Canaan High School.

$411,700 with Niram for hazardous material abatement related to South Elementary School's window-replacement project.

$233,399 for a new radio system for the Department of Public Works, which includes $162,474 with Motorola Solutions for the radio equipment; $51,926 with Northeast Communications for installation and $19,000 with Motorola Solutions for 10 handheld units.

An agreement for the purchase of three new vehicles from Crowley Auto Group: a $27,304 police car; a $33,954 pick-up truck for the Highway Department and a $47,322 flatbed rack body truck for the Parks Department.

$75,000 with England Paving for localized road repairs as part of the town's Pavement Management and Improvement Program.

$24,750 between the Department of Public Works and Athletic Services of Bridgeport for the removal of old sod and installation of new sod on several athletic fields, including the ones at Saxe Middle School, Mead Park, Waveny Park and New Canaan High School.

$1,080 with the Hearing Center for hearing testing and training for Department of Public Works employees.
