The Saxe Middle School fifth and sixth grade choruses, led by chorus director Trevor Leckie, performed their Winter Concert Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2011 at 7 p.m. in Saxe Auditorium.

The program opened with a harmonized "The Star Spangled Banner" (F. S. Key) sung by the full two-grade choral group. The fifth grade chorus continued with a rendition of "Alleluia Canon" (W. A. Mozart) and an old favorite "Fifty Nifty United States" (R. Charles).

The sixth grade chorus then took the stage and sang "Dona Nobis Pacem" (Traditional) and "Going on a Sleigh Ride" (arranged by Albrecht).

The program concluded with both choruses singing "A New Year's Wish" (arranged by Donnelly). Throughout the program, Joe Gergle accompanied the singers on the piano with support from assistant director Debra Cysner.
