The South Western Regional Planning Agency (SWRPA) will hold two public information sessions on the Draft South Western Region 2012 to 2015 Transportation Improvement Program on Jan. 4. Public information sessions will be held at the SWRPA offices, located on the third floor of the Stamford Government Center, 888 Washington Boulevard, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The draft TIP is a dynamic list of all highway and public transit projects that the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT), the South Western Region municipalities, transit districts, and other sponsors intend to fund during federal fiscal years 2012-2015. Projects included in the draft TIP are expected to receive federal funding during this four year period.

The draft TIP and associated air quality conformity documents are available for public review and comment through Jan. 11. The draft TIP for the South Western Region is available on the SWRPA website,, at the main branch of the region's local libraries and at the SWRPA office from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. All comments must be received in writing and may be submitted electronically to or mailed to the attention of Nicole Davis, Regional Planner, SWRPA at 888 Washington Boulevard -- third floor, Stamford, CT 06901.
