S4 study skills workshop returns to St. Luke's
St. Luke's School will offer S4 -- Successful Study Skills 4 Students -- in a four-session back-to-school workshop for high schoolers on Aug. 20 through 23 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The workshop is specifically scheduled to coincide with pre-season sports. In order to provide concentrated attention to each student, class size is limited to 15 students. The classes will take place at St. Luke's, 377 North Wilton Road.
"This is our third academic year offering the S4 Study Skills workshop to both middle and high school students," said Jim Yavenditti, head of Upper School at St. Luke's. "Past attendees have returned to classes with clearly enhanced study skills and tools based on this solid, evidenced-based program -- and it's reflected in their attitude and performance."
Taught by accredited instructors, the S4 program teaches students 10 essential, logical, and easy-to-implement skills, essential for successful learning and studying. The session includes an additional 30 minutes so that students can partake in a light dinner supplied by S4.
