Ridgefield woman allegedly hit parked car in New Canaan

NEW CANAAN — A 66-year-old Ridgefield woman was charged after she allegedly hit a car while backing out of a parking space.
On Jan. 31 around 10 a.m., police responded to Morse Court where Sally Cohen, of Peaceable Hill Road, allegedly hit a parked car while backing out of a parking space. According to police, Cohen left the scene after hitting the car. A witness told police what happened and provided photos of Cohen allegedly hitting the parked car and driving away.
Police were able to get Cohen’s license plate number from the photos and contacted her. Around 2 p.m., the Ridgefield woman turned herself in to police and was charged with unsafe backing and evading responsibility. She posted a $250 bond and was issued a Feb. 13 court date.
