Patricia Brooks will speak to the Senior Men's Club of New Canaan on Friday, Jan. 6, at 10 a.m. in Morrill Hall at St. Mark's Church. Her subject will be "35 Years of Traveling by Tooth and Palate Throughout Connecticut."

Perhaps best known locally as the restaurant reviewer for the Connecticut Section of the New York Times, Brooks has been author or co-author of 25 books, mostly in the fields of food and travel.

Brooks has written many articles for well-known publications such as Bon Appetit, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, the Chicago Tribune, and the L.A. Times. She holds degrees from Vassar College and the University of Minnesota and has completed graduate studies at the University of London.
