Prudential Connecticut Realty offers SAF advantage program
Prudential Connecticut Realty recently launched its short sale program called SAF Advantage as part of its continued commitment to provide good service to its clients and customers. The new program will support Prudential sales associates and clients through the difficult process involved with short sale transactions.
"The SAF Advantage program was immediately embraced by our sales associates and customers," said Candace Adams, president of Prudential Connecticut Realty, said. "This is a very difficult decision for many home owners, and we are there to make it as stress free as possible for them."
A short sale transaction is one in which the negotiated sales price is lower than the amount of the mortgage balance. Due to this price discrepancy, lender approval is required to release the difference from the mortgage obligation. Often, this is achieved while the homeowner still lives in their home.
An important part of the program is helping a home seller determine the best course of action based on their specific personal financial situation. Sales associates work directly with the home seller to gather the necessary paperwork and support documentation. An attorney is then assigned to work with the family providing legal counsel and guidance; the sales associate and the attorney work with the home seller throughout the process.
"SAF Advantage has several benefits for sellers, buyers and sales associates. But, the most important is the way it can more quickly identify whether you are the right candidate for a short sale ... and whether its right for you," Terence Beaty, director of the program for Prudential Connecticut Realty, said. "Many of the clients have said how the program has made the process of starting a short sale, less scary and easier to understand."
SAF Advantage helps home buyers as well by promoting our SAF Advantage properties to them and assisting them with home repair financing necessary to make minor repairs to their homes before or directly after they close. Using a federally-sponsored mortgage product, offered though our mortgage company, Prudential educates homebuyers on what to expect when purchasing short sales homes in need of minor repairs.
Prudential Connecticut Realty will be offering public seminars on the ins and outs of buying and selling short sales and foreclosures through the SAF Advantage program in locations around Connecticut for home buyers and sellers to attend. Look for one of these seminars in your area.
