On Saturday, April 2, more than 90 members of the New Canaan High School class of 2011 took the stage in the ninth annual fashion show "Project Runway."
This is an annual event which raises funds for the post prom party. About 30 girls were escorted down the runway in gowns provided by A Step Ahead in Stamford by 30 young men in tuxedos and furnishings from Camillo's Tuxedos of Norwalk. Hairstyling for our event was done by 123 Cherry Street Salon and makeup by Benefit.
Other clothing displayed included Athletic Shoe Factory, Rugby, Togs, True Blue and Snappy Gator in Wilton. Other contributors included Christine Simmons Portraiture, Julie Collection Jewelry, Wave and Stella and Dot, courtesy of Gerrie Musicco, Bob and Christine Betack, Bon Fleur, Hoyt Livery and Palm Beach Tans.
Part of the evening's festivities included the hip hop dancers of Steppin Out Studio. Behind the scenes video clips were designed by Nikola Scandiffio with the assistance of the official emcee of the evening Ryan Stiffleman as Tim Gunn.
