Two portable disc catchers from the Waveny Park disc golf course where reported missing at 5:16 p.m. on March 16. According to police, a 52-year-old male resident of New Canaan and member of the New Canaan Disc Golf Association saw the disc catchers on March 14 when he visited the course to assess storm damage. When he returned to the course on March 16, the disc catchers, valued at $200 and $375, were missing, police said.

Andrew L. Sinn, 54, of Heritage Hill Road was charged with second degree reckless endangerment at 11:48 p.m. on March 18 after he called police to alert them that he had accidentally discharged his handgun in his home. Sinn thought that the gun was unloaded and did not know where the bullet was, police said. Police detected the bullet wedged in a door jam and did not retrieve it because it would have caused additional damage, police said. Sinn was released on a promise to appear in court on March 25.

David Rodriguez, 34, of Lisbon Drive in Fairfield turned himself in on a warrant at 4:42 p.m. on March 19 for failing to respond to an infraction notification stemming from a ticket for unreasonable speed on Nov. 20, 2009. Rodriguez posted $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on April 6.

A 50-year-old female resident of East Hills Drive reported credit card fraud on March 19. According to police, the woman's major credit card had several charges that she did not make including seven airline tickets and $1,495 in purchases from Best Buy.

A 54-year-old male resident of Toquam Road reported $600 in cash missing from his home at 9:10 a.m. on March 20. According to police, the bills were taken on Thursday, March 18 when workers were present on the premise. The case is under investigation.

A 32-year-old male resident of Gerrish Lane reported identity theft after he discovered someone had opened a credit card account using his name using his name and social security number. There is a $7,432 outstanding balance on the fraudulent account, according to police. Police said the man did not know how his social security number was compromised.

Avelar Gustovo, 30, of Portland Avenue in Redding was charged with reckless driving, operating a motor vehicle without a license and operating an unregistered motor vehicle at 4:45 p.m. on March 21. Police received a call from a motorist alerting them that another motorist was driving erratically northbound on Route 123 in Norwalk, heading into New Canaan. Police stopped the vehicle, driven by Gustovo, at the intersection of Smith Ridge Road and Glen Drive, police said. According to police, there was a large wine bottle on the backseat floor of the vehicle. Gustovo was too intoxicated for police to conduct sobriety field tests, police said. Gustovo was transported to police headquarters and then transported to Norwalk Hospital, police said. According to police, a search warrant will be used to obtain the results of Gustovo's blood tests at the hospital in order to determine if he will be charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Gustovo is scheduled to appear in court on April 1.

A family dispute between to Field Crest Road residents was reported at 7:21 p.m. on March 21. An argument escalated into physical violence and led to charges of third degree assault, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia against a 14-year-old male resident, police said. Police said the juvenile inflicted only minor injuries on the other resident.

According to police, multiple glass pipes and one makeshift aluminum pipe used to smoke marijuana were found in the male's bedroom. The juvenile was transported to the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention facility that night and appeared in juvenile court in Bridgeport the next morning, police said.
