NEW CANAAN — Two 17-year-old New Canaan boys were charged after police broke up an underage drinking party on Heritage Hill Road.
Police responded to a report of a possible drinking party Sept. 29 around 10:40 p.m. When officers arrived, several teenagers ran out of the house, away from the police. When officers entered the home, they found liquor bottles and beer cans.
Officers determined a 17-year-old boy present was responsible and charged him with possession of alcohol by a minor, as well as failure to halt possession. A second 17-year-old boy was charged with possession as well.
Police issued infractions to both boys, as well as a juvenile summons to the teen charged with failure to halt possession. New Canaan police said they will continue to investigate youth parties and hold involved parties accountable.
