A black, 80 gigabite Classic iPod valued at $250 was reported stolen from a Trinity Pass Road residence at 5:47 p.m. on Feb. 1. According to police, there was a furniture delivery to the home of the 53-year-old resident at about 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 30. The resident went outside to talk to a neighbor for five or ten minutes during the delivery, police said. Police said the resident suspects that a delivery worker stole the iPod.

The passenger window of a vehicle parked in the YMCA parking lot at 564 South Ave. was smashed and a gym bag was stolen from inside the car at about 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 6, according to a report from the 50-year-old male New Canaan resident who owns the vehicle. The man parked in the lot at about 8 p.m. and returned to the vehicle 30 minutes later to find that his black gym bag, which contained clothing and a paddle ball racquet, had been stolen. The gym bag and clothing are valued at $250 and the paddle ball racquet is valued at $250.

Christine Sniado, 44, of Fairfield was charged with failure to drive right and operating under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs after she steered off the road, hit a telephone pole and drove into the woods at about 12:20 a.m. on Feb. 5.

According to police, a passerby reported a vehicle in the woods on White Oak Shade Road near Putnam Road. An officer arrived on the scene and reported heavy front-end damage to Sniado's Jeep station wagon. Sniado has minor injuries, police said. According to the officer, Sniado was traveling South on White Oak Shade Road, veered off the road, crossed over a driveway and struck a telephone pole after attempting to steer back onto the roadway. Sniado posted $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 18.

Shawn K. Soljour, 44, of Birchwood Avenue turned herself in on a warrant from Norwalk Court for failure to pay or plea in court at 10:20 a.m. on Feb. 5. The warrant stemmed from a motor vehicle charge that she did not pay or plea for on Jan. 26, according to police. Soljour posted $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 18.

On Feb. 7, Nicholas Willett, 20, of Urban Street, and a female 16-year-old Lake View Avenue resident were both charged with disorderly conduct after two separate incidences involving a third party at the teen's residence. The female is scheduled to appear in juvenile court on Feb. 11. Willett is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 17.

A brown leather Coach purse valued at $300, a brown leather Coach wallet valued at $50 and about $100 in cash was reported stolen at 8 p.m. on Feb. 7 from inside an unlocked Ford Escape parked in a parking lot at 103 Main Street. The 20-year-old female of New Canaan who reported the incident parked the car in the lot at about 7:45 p.m. that evening, entered a nearby store, and returned about 10 minutes later to find the items and money missing from inside the vehicle, police said.

A burglary was reported at a Sagamore Trail residence at 10:26 a.m. on Feb. 8. The suspect(s) forced entry and ransacked the home sometime between Friday, Feb. 5 and Monday, Feb. 6.
