A man's Rolex watch, valued at $3,800, and a pair of gold-studded diamond earrings, valued at $6,500, were reported missing from a residence on Valley Road at 9:20 a.m. on Nov. 30. The 24-year-old male owner of the jewelry last saw the items on Nov. 27, police said. According to police, the residents hosted guests in the home from Nov. 26 to 28.

A suspicious vehicle approached a 12-year-old boy waiting for the school bus outside his home on River Wind Road at 6:45 a.m. on Dec. 3, according to police. A man in his late 40s wearing a turban with dark skin and a black mustache approached the driveway in a gold or tan Honda or Hyundai with a wrapped newspaper in his hand, police said. From inside the car, the man told the boy to take the paper multiple times before telling the boy that if he didn't take the paper, he would have to get out of the car, police said. Suspicious that there were no other newspapers in the car, the boy fled toward the house, police said.

Jared M. Bednowitz, 25, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief at 11:51 p.m. on Dec. 4 after an officer said he caught him stomping on six shrubs, valued at $450, planted at the Talmadge Hill railroad station commuter parking lot, according to police. Bednowitz, of Mount Kisco, N.Y., was arrested and released on a summons to appear in court on Dec. 17.

Two credit cards were reported missing from a purse inside a 46-year-old female's Bayberry Road residence at 8:57 a.m. on Dec. 5. According to police, the credit cards were taken after 2 p.m. on Dec. 4, when the owner used them to make an online purchase. Multiple workers were in the residence at the time of the larceny, police said.
