Police: Norwalk men, waiters, stole from Roger Sherman Inn
NEW CANAAN — Two Norwalk men turned themselves in to police on larceny and conspiracy charges after they allegedly stole over $1,000 while working at the Roger Sherman Inn.
On Dec. 29, police received a report from the inn of a theft on Dec. 25. An investigation determined Mario Montes, of Riverside Avenue, and Eduardo Navarro, of Girard Street, allegedly stole $1,500 while working as waiters in the restaurant.
Police issued a warrant for their arrest on charges of conspiracy and fourth-degree larceny.
On Jan. 27, Navarro, 45, turned himself in to police. He posted $10,000 bond and was released with a court date of Feb. 6. Montes, 50, turned himself in on Jan. 29. He was held in lieu of $10,000 bond and taken to court the following day.
