Police: Norwalk man solicited teen for sex in Waveny Park
NEW CANAAN — A 20-year-old Norwalk man and self-described “sex addict” was charged with disorderly conduct after he propositioned a 17-year-old girl jogging in Waveny Park, allegedly offering her $2,000 to have sex with him.
On Oct. 31, the girl was jogging down the Waveny running trails around 5:40 p.m. when Andrew Pacicca, of Chipmunk Lane, came up running beside her, police said. According to the girl, Pacicca tapped her on the shoulder and then grabbed her shoulder to stop her. When the girl stopped, Pacicca said, “Will you have sex with me for $2,000? How much do I have to give you? I’m really frustrated.”
The girl ran away and reported the incident to New Canaan police who put out information about the incident in an effort to locate the suspect. Pacicca saw a news story about the incident and came forward. He gave a statement to police where he admitted to approaching the girl. He also told police he is a sex addict.
Based on his statement, police obtained a warrant for the Norwalk man, charging him with disorderly conduct. On Nov. 22 around 11 a.m., Pacicca turned himself in. He posted a $5,000 bond and will appear in court Dec. 6.
