Police: Naked man arrested in Waveny Park

NEW CANAAN — A 65-year-old man from New York was issued a misdemeanor summons after he was spotted allegedly walking around Waveny Park naked.
On May 19 around 4:30 p.m., police responded to Lapham Road where two people reported seeing a naked man near a parked car. When the officers arrived, they found Daniel Dobbins sitting inside his car with a shirt and shorts draped over him. He wasn’t wearing any underwear. Dobbins told police he was naked for medical reasons.
Dobbins, of Stone Meadow, South Salem, N.Y. was issued a misdemeanor summons for breach of peace in the second degree and was released on a promise to appear in court on June 2.
