Renzo Santander Molina, 22, of 32 North Myrtle Ave., Spring Valley, N.Y., was arrested July 3 on charges of operating under the influence of alcohol, drinking alcohol while operating a motor vehicle and operating without a license.
Molina was stopped at a DWI checkpoint on Old Stamford Road near the Merritt Parkway ramp and Talmadge Hill Road, according to police.
The man was asked to stop his 2001 Acura MDX several times before he complied, police said. As he and his passenger were being questioned, an officer saw two open beer bottles in the rear passenger floor, according to the report. The bottles turned out to be cold, indicating the Molina had been drinking while driving, police said.
