The Outback Teen Center had a successful improv and ice cream social for fifth- and sixth-graders recently. Sponsored by Baskin Robbins, more than 100 kids made it through the rain for an afternoon of fun, friends and ice cream.

Improv was performed by Adam Bull of Stamford, who has performed at Curtain Call and the Rich Forum, and was a founding member of the Strawberry Hill Improv Players. Passionate about youth development, and a strong believer in the power of laughter and humor in that process, he generously donated his time to the children.

Upcoming Events at the Outback include:

Oct. 7: Stewart Taylor's Kickstarter Concert; 7 to 9 p.m., $10 at the door, grades 8 to 12;
