Josephine Tirado, 52, of Norwalk was charged with a failure to drive right, driving at an unreasonable speed and operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol at 12:06 a.m. Jan. 29.

An officer was stationed on South Avenue running radar when he saw Tirado traveling south on South Avenue driving faster than the posted speed limit. When the officer followed Tirado, he also witnessed her swerving across the double yellow lines. Upon pulling her over, he noticed her eyes were red and glassy, the report said.

Police said she had a slow response time to anything he asked. After conducting field sobriety tests, Tirado was arrested and taken to police headquarters.
