NEW CANAAN — A 37-year-old Norwalk woman allegedly hit a tree while drunk driving.

On Nov. 21 around 9 p.m., police said Emily Hogan, of West Avenue, was driving down Parade Hill Road when her car skid. Hogan’s car struck a storm drain, traveled up an embankment where she hit a tree and rolled over, back into the road.

Police said they investigated and found an empty beer bottle, as well as open and partially full bottle of wine inside Hogan’s car. As a result, a warrant was placed for the Norwalk woman’s arrest, charging her with drinking while driving and reckless driving.

Hogan turned herself in to New Canaan police Dec. 11 around 6 p.m. She posted a $5,000 bond and will appear in court Dec. 22.; @erin_kayata
