Norwalk man charged with threatening

NEW CANAAN — A 25-year-old Norwalk man was charged after allegedly sending threatening text messages “stating harm and death to the victim and family members of the victim,” police said.
On Aug. 11 around 5:45 p.m., the victim went to New Canaan police headquarters to show officers the texts.
Kyle Cichowicz, of Norwalk had sent multiple texts threatening harm and death to the victim and the victim’s family. Norwalk Police found Cichowicz at his Wolfpit Avenue home and detained him for New Canaan police.
Cichowicz was transported to New Canaan police headquarters and processed on one count of second-degree threatening. He was held on a $100,000 bond and appeared in court Aug. 14.
Police said no further information will be released at this time as the incident was domestic in nature.
