NEW CANAAN — Police arrested a Norwalk man for allegedly threatening and disturbing the peace during an autism benefit race.

On Friday, Aug. 26 around 7 p.m., police responded to East Avenue and Main Street on a report of a man screaming and threatening people at the All Out for Autism Race. Officers located the suspect, Angelo Melisi, of Mcallister Avenue in Norwalk, on Forest Street. Melisi, 65, was then arrested for breach of peace in the second degree and threatening in the second degree.

He was processed, posted a $1,000 bond and issued a court date of Sept. 6.
