NEW CANAAN — Micaela Porta and Laura Case, of New Canaan Library’s Friends Art Committee, and their high school intern Bridget Haley worked on Aug. 23 at the library’s Curtis Gallery to set up a retrospective of New Canaan Artist Liana Moonie.

The exhibition will run from Aug. 25 through Oct. 9, with a reception on on Sept. 8, and will show work from four disctinct creative periods of Moonie’s life. According to Porta, Moonie, who is now in her 90s and recently won a lifetime achievement award from the Silvermine Arts Center, is in the process of disassembling her studio and downsizing.

“We’re proud to be mounting this retrospective of Liana Moonie’s work before she dismantles her studio and retires,” Porta said.
