NEW CANAAN — Police arrested a man and woman from New York in the parking lot of Walgreens after the pair was accused of trying to return suspicious items to the store.
On Nov. 28 around 9 p.m., police responded to Walgreens on Pine Street after receiving a report of two individuals attempting to return items they claimed were bought at another store. When officers arrived, they found the suspects, Tamara Parson of Concourse East in Bronx, N.Y. and Jeffrey Marion of Knowles Street in Yonkers, N.Y., inside a white Kia in the parking lot.
Officers did not charge the two for the activity that occurred inside the store, but found Marian, 35, had an active warrant out of Berlin, Conn. for failure to appear in the first degree.
Marion was taken into custody and held on a $2,500 bond. He was given a court date of Nov. 29. Officers had no information on his charges from Berlin.
Police found less than a half ounce of marijuana on Parson. The 30-year-old was issued an infraction, as well as an infraction for driving without a license.
