NEW CANAAN — Police arrested a 33-year-old New Canaan woman for allegedly drunk driving after pulling her over for a traffic violation.

On March 4 around 12:45 a.m., a patrol officer stopped a car driving down New Norwalk Road for not displaying a front license plate. Upon speaking with the driver, April Warchick of River Street, the officer smelled alcohol coming from the car. After an investigation, police took Warchick into custody on charges of driving under the influence and failure to display a plate.

Warchick refused a breath test during booking. She posted a $260 bond and was given a court date of March 14.; @erin_kayata
