The Kiwanis Club of New Canaan will host its annual St. Patrick's Day dinner Saturday, March 17, 5 to 8 p.m., at St. Aloyisius' School dining hall.

Tickets are $10 for children, $15 for adults ($20 at the door) and are available at First County Bank, 95 Park Street; Nurenu Brand Marketing, 111 Elm Street; New Canaan Chamber of Commerce, 91 Elm Street and TD Bank, 272 Elm Street.

According to event chairman Kathleen Holland, the event will bring together families, food, music and community, and will be a way to experience a traditional Irish celebration with children and friends.

"We have so many young families in New Canaan, and we are looking forward to offering this fun event again this year, especially as it actually falls on St. Patrick's Day," she said. "This year we are offering a more `kid-friendly' menu in addition to our very traditional Irish corned beef and cabbage, and we will be offering children's activities, as well."

"We would like to especially thank you generous sponsors, which include Hoyt Funeral Home, O'Neill's Tree Care, Harrigan's Insurance and Nurenu Marketing, as well as the New Canaan Chamber of Commerce," Holland said.

"We live in such an extraordinary town, and are especially happy that the Pender Keady School of Irish Dance will again be performing at our event," committee member and Chamber of Commerce executive director Tucker Murphy said. "Bring your family and friends, and spread the word."
