New Canaan panel to discuss what to do with unwanted valuables
Staying Put in New Canaan is sponsoring a panel of experts who will discuss what to do with various collections or items seniors no longer use or that their children don't want.
This session will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the Lindstrom Room of The New Canaan Historical Society, 13 Oenoke Ridge, New Canaan.
Local participants will include The Silk Purse, a consignment store, and Edward G. Vollmer, a licensed appraiser, both from New Canaan. Darien participants will include Auction-Key, an eBay broker, and LMB Watson Associates, a tag sale business. They will discuss their services and offer a question and answer period.
This informational session is not intended for valuation of individual items.
The general public is invited to attend this meeting for an entry fee of $10. The session is free for Staying Put members.
