The South Western Regional Planning Agency elected its officers and executive committee members at its annual agency meeting Jan. 3.

Each individual elected represents a member municipality, and together they constitute the executive committee of the agency.

Gerald Ellis of New Canaan was named agency chairman, followed by Robert Byrnes of Greenwich, vice chairman; Jack Halpert of Stamford, secretary; and Henry Boucher of Wilton, treasurer.

Additional executive committee members incude John Marr of Darien, David McCarthy of Norwalk, Steven Halstead of Westport, and Thomas Failla of Weston.

SWRPA is the official regional planning organization for the eight towns in the southwestern region. It is composed of 22 representatives, appointed by local chief elected officials and planning and zoning commissions.
