NEW CANAAN — Police arrested a 20-year-old New Canaan man after he allegedly hit and poked another resident with a sword.

On Nov. 16, police were dispatched to Logan Road on reports of a resident, Dean Tarchoun, hitting another person with a sword. Upon arriving, officers found Tarchoun had fled the area. The victim had no visible signs of injury.

Tarchoun was located in Pound Ridge, N.Y., and turned over to New Canaan police. He was charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree reckless endangerment, and was held in lieu of $1,000 bond. He appeared in court on Nov. 17.
