The New Canaan girls volleyball team won for the third time in its last four matches, defending its home court by turning back Wilton 3-1 (27-25, 25-10, 18-25, 25-22) to boost its record to 3-7 on Friday.

New Canaan's Gracie Castle led the way with nine assists, six kills, five digs and an ace. Other key contributors included Hailey Wheeler (seven kills, three aces), Pari Koochek (eight digs, five aces) and Maddie Brust (five kills, two blocks).

Wilton was led by Megan Stanzione (14 service points, eight aces, six kills and seven digs), Angele Poirier (12 digs), Shannon Golden (nine digs, six service points, three kills and an ace) and Kelly Pagoto (seven service points, three digs, an ace and a kill).
