At the FCIAC Championships on Thursday, Feb. 3, the New Canaan Rams claimed sixth place out of 14 teams by scoring 28.33 points. Danbury won the meet with 79 points.

In the 55-meter, Maureen Schott and Eileen Dinnie took 12th and 17th place in 7.86 and 8.06 seconds, respectively. In the 300-meter, Melanie Escalante claimed fifth place by clocking in at 44.13 seconds. Escalante also took eighth place in the 600-meter with a time of 1:44.39. In the 1,600-meter, Caroline Murray claimed second place with a time of 5:17.74. Murray also won the 3,200-meter with a time of 11:36.81, Stephanie Benko came in second place with a time of 11:44.01, and Kelly Saiz came in 11th place with a time of 12:34.15.

In pole vault, Heather Schumacher came in sixth place. In shot put, Isabel Herde and Sydney Czech came in 9th and 14th place, respectively.
