This morning is sunny and bright, and the National Weather Service has backed off its earlier prediction that today would be mostly cloudy with a chance of showers.

Instead, southwestern Connecticut should enjoy a mostly sunny day, with a daytime high temperature of about 65 degrees, the NWS says. The wind will be from the southwest between 7 and 9 mph.

Tonight, however, there is a slight chance of showers. The overnight low temperature will be about 58 degrees.

Tomorrow, showers are again a possibility, but otherwise skies should be partly sunny, with a high near 75 degrees. Clouds move in by nighttime, with an overnight low of about 59 degrees.

Shower are also possible Tuesday, with the added threat of thunderstorms after noon. Skies will otherwise be mostly sunny, with a high near 79. There will be a west wind between 5 and 8 mph.
